Gently emerging from my creative cocoon

Gently emerging from my creative cocoon

It does feel a little strange emerging from lockdown after some 101 days.

There have been many times during this long lockdown that I have found myself dreaming of what I wanted to do when life opened up. High on the agenda …visiting family and friends and getting a haircut…and another one..visiting the Australian Reptile Park to see the spring babies ( a recurring thought, I know seems a little quirky right?) OH and let’s not forget horse riding…after watching 14 seasons of Heartland on Netflix

However, a large part of me has enjoyed the slower pace of life, having my immediate family around me, endless walks through the bush and more time to create.

Some people will be literally running out of lockdown, embracing freedom with arms wide open…but as I was creating this artwork yesterday … I was sensing… for me… it will be a gradual emergence from my creative cocoon.

Hoping that this is helpful to those of you who are feeling the same way.

Be kind to yourself….appreciate that reconnecting with the real world can be a little daunting and somewhat tiring at first….it’s okay to ‘go gently’
